Once Upon a Time.

Once upon a time, in a faraway park, the tortoise and the rabbit decided to have a race. The rabbit was a fast runner and the tortoise was a very slow one as everyone would have guessed. The tortoise took his own sweet time to run around the park while the rabbit only picked up his speed once in a while to overtake the tortoise. Undaunted, the tortoise maintained his speed and move on and on... until he met a squirrel. The squirrel laughed at the tortoise for his slow pace. Nonchalant, the tortoise asked if he could teach him to run faster. The squirrel pointed to his squirrel dad who happened to zoom past and said, "You can learn from my father." Being polite, the tortoise told him that his squirrel father was too fast but honestly, the tortoise was cursing and swearing in his shell. The tortoise continued running and running... The rabbit took a rest every now and then under a tree knowing that he could catch up with the tortoise any time. The tortoise run and run... Finally, the tortoise made it to the finishing point but he was not the first. The rabbit still won the tortoise. However, the tortoise was not saddened by the result because he knew that he had finished the race and that he would one day run as fast as the rabbit if he was to keep running and running. Although the tortoise fell down a few times during the race, he sustained only minor injuries and as a first timer in a race, he was proud of himself. Lastly, he had definitely enjoyed the race and enjoyed racing with the rabbit. He looked forward to the next race, probably it would include his sister, the snail.
