Lousy Buses.
Although I know it is useless to complain the bus service, I just want to c.o.m.p.l.a.i.n.
It's really hair pulling when you waited soooo long for the bus and only to find that the bus belongs to the 1980s. And it's even more hair pulling when the bus is dirty, stinky, jerky, cranky. More specific? The air-con water drips on your head! The seat is old, torn and tattered. The door-opening warning bell is deafening.
As expected, here is their patronizing reply.
We would like to refer to the feedback below concerning the bus condition of service 178. We would like to share that we have started the mid-life upgrade programme for SMRT's buses. As part of the programme, the air-conditioning system in these buses will undergo upgrading. To date, upgrading works have been carried out on 190 buses. SMRT Buses' mid-life upgrading programme is a service initiative to ensure that our current fleet of buses continues to be in good condition for service on the roads for the safety, reliability and comfort of our passengers. The upgrade is done in phases, and will cover more than 700 buses over thenext eight years.
Notwithstanding the above you may wish to provide us with the bus registration number for our investigation, if you encounter similar incidents again in future.
We value your feedback and thank you for taking the time to highlightthe above matter to us.
